Visit the Museum
Since 1996 the Shelby American Collection historic car museum has been open to the public. Started by several Shelby American enthusiasts who lived in Boulder and the surrounding areas. Carroll Shelby himself was involved in the museum until he passed in 2012. The collection is a volunteer run non-profit organization open every Saturday. Our museum is comprised of the most historically significant Shelby race Cobras, Ford GTs and GT40s in the world featuring vehicles from the Miller Family Automobile Foundation and various private collectors.

You might be wondering why the most historic collection of Cobras and GT40s resides in Boulder, Colorado. And no, Carroll Shelby didn’t have a home here. Our museum is located in Colorado because the museum founders all happened to live here. We have been in the same building since 1996 and are fortunate to house an incredible collection of Shelby Cobras, GT40s and Mustangs from collectors around the country.
